At OFCO, we are thrilled to introduce our unique Snack for Dog Project. This project is not your typical endeavor, yet it adheres to all the norms and standards of human-grade food. The snack, made from dried Atlantic cod skin, comes in various shapes and sizes, both braided and straight.
We oversee the processing of Snack for Dog for a client in Iceland. The final products, which adhere to the highest quality standards, are primarily re-exported to the USA and Europe.
The raw material for this project is a frozen block of Atlantic cod skin. The reprocessing involves several meticulous steps, including multiple cleanings to remove any impurities, shaping the product as per expectations, and naturally sun-drying the product.
Vietnamese processors, renowned for their expertise and dedication, carry out the actual processing work. Their skill and hard work are integral to the success of this project. Vietnam, with its rich history in dried seafood processing, provides the ideal setting for such a demanding and labor-intensive project.
The Snack for Dog Project goes beyond just reprocessing dried skin. It’s about adapting to a niche market, meeting the specific needs of our clients, and contributing to sustainable business practices. This project, which we hold in high regard, embodies the values we cherish at OFCO.
